Fishers city officials have announced that the public Memorial Day ceremony has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns, but area residents can join the city virtually for a day-long remembrance of our fallen heroes.
Virtual events include the following:
Honor Our Heroes
To honor our fallen patriots, the City of Fishers invites residents to submit photos of their loved ones who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom while serving in the United States Armed Forces. These photos will be virtually displayed on the City of Fishers webpage on Monday, May 25. Submissions are due by end of day Thursday, May 21. Submit your photo using this link.
Moment of Silence
Join the nation in a moment of silence at 3 p.m. to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
Warbird Flyover
Turn your eyes to the skies for a warbird flyover at 4 p.m.
Poppy Wreath Craft
Make a red poppy wreath to show support for those who have sacrificed for our country. A red poppy is a symbol of both remembrance and hope for a peaceful future. Display your wreath on your front door or in a window during Memorial Day Weekend.
