The Fishers softball team beat Westfield 2-0 in an all-county and Hoosier Crossroads Conference game on Tuesday.
The Tigers scored their first run in the third inning, when Hailey Trueblood hit a double to score J Grubb. Fishers added another run in the fourth inning. Azstryd Alexander got on base with a left field double, and later scored on an error.
Alexander hit two doubles in the game, with Kinder also getting two hits. Ashtin Grubb also hit a single. Kate Murray pitched a complete game, striking out nine and allowing only one hit.
Samantha Breaux had the Shamrocks’ lone hit. Chloe Tanner also pitched a complete game with nine strikeouts.
The Tigers are 1-1 in conference play and 4-3 overall, and travel to Lawrence North this afternoon for a 5:30 p.m. game. Westfield is 2-1 in the HCC and 5-5 overall. The ‘Rocks are off until next Tuesday when they host Noblesville.
