Fishers went to Fort Wayne for its Class 6A Sectional 3 semi-final game on Friday, and came home with a 49-7 victory.
The Tigers were in control for the entire game, leading 28-0 after the first quarter. Khobie Martin scored two touchdowns for Fishers on a 14-yard run and a seven-yard run. Bennett Gorak added a 14-yard score, and Noah McPeek caught a six-yard scoring pass from Lucas Minns.
The Tigers didn’t let up in the second quarter, adding another 21 points. Carson Dunn scored two touchdowns, the first on a six-yard run early in the period, and the second on a 20-yard throw from Minns at the 3:28 mark. Martin scored on an eight-yard run with 21 seconds left in the half.
Martin led the Fishers rushing with 110 yards, with Carson Dunn getting three receptions. Leo Morrow and William Schnefke both made four tackles; Schnefke and Mylan Erby both had two tackles for a loss. Morrow forced a fumble, with Chris Rhoades making the recovery.
The Tigers are 7-3 and host Hamilton Southeastern next Friday for the Sectional 3 championship.
