Authorities in Fishers are searching for the person or persons responsible for destroying an American flag overnight.
Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness posted a photo to his official Twitter page Friday morning showing a giant American flag that had been destroyed.

The flag is hanging in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater where it was installed for part of the Fourth of July festivities.
“It’s unfortunate that someone or a few people thought this was a good way to celebrate the 4th,” said Fadness on Twitter.
