Fishers Police alerts public of annual property destruction

The Fishers Police Department (FPD) will conduct its annual property destruction after April 10, 2023.

The property that is identified as having no evidentiary value and remains unclaimed by its rightful owner will be destroyed. Any property that is associated with an active case which has not been adjudicated will not be destroyed and cannot be released to its owner. Any evidence that is considered illegal to possess by Indiana Statue will not be released.

It is FPD’s goal to provide enough notification of this process so that the community is aware of the upcoming property destruction. Please contact the Fishers Police Department Property Room to at (317) 595-3300 to schedule an appointment to collect your property no later than April 10, 2023.

    This has to be a joke, right? The government surely wouldn’t destroy citizens’ property without listing the property in this notice and or trying to contact or list the owners of any property, would they? It’s not like we underfunded our public safety personnel to the point they can’t even spare an admin assistant a few minutes to provide a basic list of names or items.. Cone on, can’t you do a little better?
