Fifth Third Bank announces 2025 Name, Image & Likeness program

Fifth Third announced on March 3 “Team Fifth Third,” a Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) program comprised of 26 student athletes that will give fans an all-encompassing look at the personal stories and personalities of each student athlete.

Among the members of Team Fifth Third is Sydney Parrish, a Fishers native who plays on the Indiana University women’s basketball team.

The social media video series will highlight each athlete’s journey and show what it takes to play Division I college basketball.

“College basketball fans are some of the most passionate supporters in sports, and Fifth Third shares that same enthusiasm for supporting the student athletes who represent their schools, hometowns and their families,” said Carolyn David, head of marketing at Fifth Third. “This NIL program gives Fifth Third the privilege to amplify the stories of the 26 amazing student athletes who make up Team Fifth Third, each giving 166.7 percent effort on and off the court!”

While Team Fifth Third is new to the college sports scene, Fifth Third has a long-standing relationship with college athletics, with naming rights for Fifth Third Arena at the University of Cincinnati and Fifth Third Stadium at Kennesaw State University. Fifth Third also is the Official Bank of University of Dayton Athletics, with Fifth Third proudly emblazoned on the Flyers’ basketball court. The NIL program enabled new partnerships between Fifth Third and student athletes at Indiana University, University of Florida, University of South Carolina and Xavier University.
