Fishers native selected for study abroad scholarship

Arendt

Fishers’ own Brittany Arendt, a senior at Ball State University, has been selected for the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study abroad this summer and fall.

Arendt will spend her fall semester in Grenoble, France, taking courses in language, literature, theatre, and culture. As a French education major (with a minor in Chinese), she says she wants to use the experience to build her language and cultural expertise as she prepares for a career as a French teacher.

“I am dedicated to making this experience as educational and transformative as possible, to prepare myself for my teaching career,” Arendt said.
