Kirby posted norms of 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in keying Class 4A No. 1 Fishers to the Elkhart semi-state crown. The 6-4 guard scored 21 points with seven rebounds, one assist and one steal in an 82-46 decision over 4A No. 13 South Bend Riley. The Miami of Ohio recruit also totaled 16 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot as the Tigers won their second consecutive semi-state, improved to 30-0 for the season and extended their winning streak to 43 games. Kirby combined to hit 16-of-24 from the floor, 1-of-5 from distance and 4-of-6 from the line in the two contests.

Kirby shares District 2 honors this week with Crispus Attucks senior Dezmon Briscoe, who led his team to the Class 3A state championship game with a win at the New Castle semi-state. The Attucks Tigers play South Bend St. Joseph at 6 p.m. Saturday for the 3A state title, with Fishers taking on Jeffersonville at 8:15 p.m. in the 4A championship game.
