The Fishers GOP gathered this month for its annual Christmas Party, a festive occasion dedicated to recognizing community leaders, celebrating the season, and gathering toys and food to support the Delaware and Fall Creek townships’ food banks. Held at The Balmoral House, the event drew local members, supporters, and special guests for an evening of reflection and appreciation.

Keynote speaker Kyle Walker, Indiana State Senator for District 31, addressed the attendees, offering insight into the party’s legislative priorities for 2025 and highlighting the importance of grassroots efforts in advancing local initiatives. Senator Walker’s remarks inspired attendees to stay engaged and continue supporting Fishers’ thriving Republican community.

The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the GOP’s distinguished honorees:

Man of the Year

Doug Allman, Fall Creek Trustee, who took office in 2017, was recognized for his exceptional leadership and dedication to the community.

As Trustee, Allman and staff provide a variety of services such as fire protection, weed control, fence disputes, cemetery maintenance, on-site food pantry, and township assistance. Township Assistance is for those residents who find themselves in need of help with shelter and basic needs including utilities, medicine and food.

Allman has also overseen the design and development of the township’s 80-acre nature park, Fall Creek Woods, located on Fall Creek and Southeastern Avenue. He previously served on the Township Board as well as the Fishers Plan Commission. Eleven years ago, he led the group City Yes, which pushed for the Town of Fishers to become a city. In 1995, the Indiana DNR recognized Allman as the Conservationist of the year for his efforts to protect Indiana’s Natural Resources.

Women of the Year

Susie Davis has devoted countless hours at the polls and volunteering for Fishers One, and she was also elected as a state delegate for the first time this year and was recently elected to the Fall Creek Township Board.

Jennie Nicol is a newly elected Precinct Chairperson in Delaware Township. As a volunteer for Fishers One, she enjoys promoting the practice of conservative principles.

Both were honored for tireless efforts to support local causes and champion Republican ideals and local candidates.

Volunteer of the Year

Kulwinder Benipal, a new GOP volunteer, was recognized and celebrated for selflessly dedicating countless hours to GOP initiatives, ensuring success.
