Fishers edged out Noblesville to win the Hoosier Crossroads Conference girls tennis tournament, which took place last Thursday and Saturday at the Millers’ tennis complex.
The Tigers scored 37 points, just ahead of Noblesville’s 36 points. Fishers won three of the five flights, starting with a dominant performance by No. 1 singles Mischa Briggs. The junior won all three of her matches 6-0, 6-0.
The Tigers also swept both doubles matches. The No. 1 team of Caroline Ober and Cassie Maurer sailed through that division, dropping only four games. No. 2 Izzy Ireland and Emma Beehler won their first two matches in straight sets, then beat Zionsville’s Zoe Chappell and Kyla Gomez in a marathon championship match. The Fishers duo won 7-6, 5-7, 10-5; the third set a 10-point super tiebreak.
All five Tigers players were named to the HCC All-Conference team. No. 2 singles Maddie Barron finished fourth in that flight. At No. 3 singles, Meredith Ober advanced to the semifinals, where she dropped a three-set match to Noblesville’s Josie Flinchum. Imani Mokra filled in for her in the third-place match and fell to Zionsville’s Sydney Holley.

Stamm and Flinchum both were named All-Conference, along with No. 1 singles Bella Duncan, who reached the championship flight before falling to Briggs. Noblesville’s No. 1 doubles team of Lina Hamashuk and Cami Crist placed third, also earning All-Conference honors. Jayde Stamm and Ava Shoemaker took fourth at No. 2 doubles.
Westfield tied for third place with Zionsville; both teams scored 30 points. Addi Kooi placed second at No. 2 singles and earned a place on the All-Conference team. Harvey also took second at No. 3 singles.
