2025 marks the 20th anniversary of Fishers Arts Council, and FAC is celebrating this milestone with an exciting year of artistic experiences.
Founded in 2005 by the then-Town Council of Fishers, FAC has seen many changes over the past two decades, but in recent years it has created programming and events that have become staples of the community.
“‘Second Friday’ has become synonymous with our gallery receptions,” FAC President Ross Hilleary said, “and I’m excited to see the continued expansion with our gallery hops and partnership with the city. We encourage all residents to mark your calendars for Second Friday of every month, whether you are an art enthusiast or need a date night, it’s a great way to enjoy your community.”
With the re-opening of Fishers City Hall, FAC moved its gallery “back home” while continuing to curate the FAC Hub Gallery at Hamilton County Community Foundation. Managing two art gallery spaces in the city “is most rewarding and allows us to open up opportunities for more artists in and around our community,” FAC Executive Director Les Reinhardt said. “With the support of volunteers and our tenacious board members, we’ve been able to expand opportunities for visual and musical artists, as well as reach more community members through the arts.”
In the Art Gallery at City Hall, there will be 12 monthly exhibits, and 2D and 3D artists can apply through the arts council’s website to be part of those indicated with an asterisk.

Details about how to be part of these exhibits will be posted on at FishersArtsCouncil.org on Dec. 23. Artists can sign up for notifications at FishersArtsCouncil.org/roster. Paid musicians, as duos or trios, are also needed for each “Second Friday” gallery reception at City Hall and additional musicians will be needed for Gallery Hop events at multiple locations. Musicians can apply online starting Dec. 23 by reviewing details at FishersArtsCouncil.org/blog.
FAC plans to expand its “Gallery Hop” experiences by partnering with the City of Fishers and other arts organizations as well as welcoming Four Day Ray as the Hop Sponsor.
“On Feb. 14, May 9, Aug. 8, and Nov. 14 we’ll invite the public to ‘hop’ around Fishers to check out new art exhibits, shop from artisans, listen to a variety of musical artists, get crafty, and enjoy theatrical performances and poetry readings during these select Second Friday dates,” Reinhardt said.
Participating locations include the Ignite Studio at Hamilton East Public Library-Fishers, the Meyer Najem 2nd Floor Gallery with Noblesville Creates, High Frequency Arts located inside Hub & Spoke, the FAC Hub Gallery, and the Art Gallery at City Hall. FAC will offer drop in “Make It Take It” activities and Fishers Parks will have craft activities at their headquarters inside Hub & Spoke. Hop Sponsor Four Day Ray will offer those who complete the Gallery Hop a free dessert when they stop in for dinner.
In addition to these Second Friday events, FAC also holds art fairs during the year including a non-profit fundraiser called Harvest Fest in September, the Car & Art Show in partnership with Fishers Parks in June, and a series of Winter Art Markets at Sun King in Fishers alongside Holiday Open Houses at Fishers District. FAC also supports the Fishers High School Future Black Leaders Club’s Juneteenth Jubilee and the Dia de Muertos cultural experience in Fishers City Hall.
