A full-length feature film will shoot throughout downtown Fort Wayne during the month of July.
An award-winning play (Fort Wayne Civic Theatre Playwriting Contest, amongst others nationally) written by actor and high school English/journalism teacher Bob Ahlersmeyer, has been turned into a feature film. While the film is a romantic comedy, it will also serve as a visual love letter to Fort Wayne as well as the Midwest ideals of Indiana.
The film will be shot entirely in Fort Wayne through a collaboration with local businesses to put a spotlight on the beautiful city of Fort Wayne. The entire cast and crew are composed of Indiana residents and natives making it a 100 percent Hoosier production.
Ahlersmeyer is directing and starring in the film as the lead male, Thomas, a single father and high school math teacher.
Leanne Johnson of Lafayette, Ind., will play Victoria, an ultra-successful and powerful advertising executive whose past relationship struggles have forced her to put up walls.
Finally, Lydia Horner of Fishers plays Rebecca, a mysterious character that arrives to stir up the past in unexpected ways with potential catastrophic consequences for Thomas and Victoria.
Cameras begin rolling July 7, and production will continue on the weekends throughout the month of July. Upon completion of post-production, the film will be submitted to national film festivals, as well as film festivals throughout Indiana.
