First Fishers Lū’au set for June 8

Experience island life at Geist Waterfront Park by joining Fishers Parks for the inaugural Fishers Lū’au.

Running from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 8, this event will showcase aspects of an authentic Polynesian Lū’au, from food to music to live entertainment and more. Admission to the park and event is free. No registration or RSVP required.

  • Lei greeting
  • Photo opportunities & photo booth (guests receive two 2-by-6-inch prints)
  • DJ music and guided beach games
  • Samoan baton twirling (interactive)
  • Drum workshop (interactive)
  • Wristlet lei-making
  • Sand bottle craft
  • Temporary tattoos
  • Food trucks & mocktails
  • Swimming

Island Dancing Show & Fire Dance Finale (8 to 9 p.m.)

Take a seat near the stage to watch an island dancing show and fire dance finale. This group performance of professional Polynesian performers includes fun audience participation, costume changes, featured dances from the islands, and more.
