First Financial Bank, local associates, and the community collected 80 food items during a recent three-week food drive in Carmel to help those in the area who need food assistance. All donations were given to local organizations for distribution to the community.
“We are grateful for such an incredible response on this important collaboration to give a helping hand to our neighbors,” said Roddell McCullough, chief corporate responsibility officer for First Financial Bank.
Throughout its four-state footprint in Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois, First Financial and community members collected over 5,700 food items for local residents, which has all been given to local food pantries and charitable organizations.
The food drive took place Oct. 7 to 25. People were invited to drop off nonperishable food items at First Financial Bank locations. The food drive adds to First Financial’s commitment to help clients and communities thrive. This commitment also includes financial support from the bank and First Financial Foundation, support of the United Way, financial literacy programs and proudly local volunteer efforts.
