First Farmers Bank & Trust hires Doug Hill as vice president, senior commercial lender

First Farmers Bank & Trust has announced the hiring of Doug Hill as the community bank’s newest Vice President, Senior Commercial Lender.

Hill currently operates from the Carmel loan production office at 11711 N. Pennsylvania St., Suite 112, and will transition to the brand-new Carmel branch space once it officially opens at 111 S. Range Line Road at the end of 2024.

A commercial banker with more than 38 years of experience, Hill’s new role at First Farmers Bank & Trust will include managing and maintaining existing relationships, as well as developing new and existing businesses, all while maintaining loan quality in the central Indiana market.

Most recently, Hill served as the Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer for Horizon Bank in Noblesville. Responsible for the acquisition, growth, and retention of high value/high potential customers with a focus on commercial and industrial loans, he held the role for seven years. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade in north central Indiana at Regions Bank where he, as Relationship Manager II, Agricultural Banking, placed an emphasis on agribusiness in banking.

First Farmers Bank & Trust has been expanding rapidly over the past year. Overall in 2023, First Farmers saw continued asset growth as its assets surpassed the $3 billion mark for the first time.
