Fishers Fire and Emergency Services is proud to announce the graduation of Fireman Kyle Stewart from Dive Rescue School. This grueling six-week course was completed and allows Fireman Stewart to become an active member of Fishers Dive Rescue Team. Special thanks to Indianapolis Fire Department and Pike Township Fire Department for their partnership in this class. Fishers Fire Department has a 15 member dive team. Divers are highly trained and skilled in Rescue Dive which includes stagnant and swift water rescue situations. In addition, divers work closely with Fishers Police Department divers to assist with evidence recovery. Fishers Fire dive team originated in 1991.
