A total of 500 participants raised nearly $195,000 on May 8 in the American Lung Association in Indiana’s Fight For Air Climb, presented by Anthem, at Lucas Oil Stadium. The throng of individuals, families, friend groups and corporate teams gathered with enthusiasm to champion the causes of clean air and lung disease prevention.
“Everyone who climbed with us should feel very proud,” Lung Association Executive Director Tanya Husain said. “Aside from having just completed a massive workout, their hard work will help us undertake lifesaving research, education and advocacy where it matters most. Because when you can’t breathe, nothing else matters.”
Participants of all different climbing levels made the rounds at Lucas Oil Stadium, climbing thousands of steps to advance the Lung Association’s vision of a world free from lung disease.
After crossing the finish line, each climber was rewarded with a medal an official event T-shirt. They celebrated in the rustic dining room of the Ellison Brewing Co., having competed a memorable and meaningful race towards better lung health nationwide.
