Every year, member artist Karen Fehr organizes and instructs our Kids Summer Art Camp, a four-day event open to children in first grade through eighth grade, which ran June 10 to 13.
Students participate in projects that teach creativity and imagination in their interpretations. Fehr is a long-time artist with the Hamilton County Artists’ Association and has taught this summer class for several years.
On the last day of the camp, the students made mountain landscapes in the form of a collage from different pieces of paper that they had water colored and torn into different shapes and glued together to make an interesting piece of art that can be taken home and displayed.
