The Noblesville Parks and Recreation Department has lined up a series of free family-friendly events for the community to enjoy at Federal Hill Commons on Friday and Saturday.

“We are excited to kick off our fall events this weekend with Food Truck Friday, a movie in the park and a rocking concert,” said Noblesville Assistant Parks Director Mike Hoffmeister. “Summer is winding down, but our programs and events are still going strong and we want people to come out and enjoy our city parks year round.”

Food Truck Friday – Start the weekend with Food Truck Friday and lunch in the park. Seven local food truck vendors, including Caplinger’s Fresh Catch, Big D’s Dawgs, Pi Indy and GiGi’s Cupcakes, will be at the Market Plaza serving meals and tasty treats from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Musician Craig Thurston will provide live acoustic music. The full list of the food trucks participating and any other event updates will be posted on Noblesville Parks and Recreation social media accounts. Food Truck Fridays are free to attend and guests are also welcome to bring their own lunch. The final Food Truck Friday scheduled will take place on Sept. 29.

“Sing” Movie Screening – The Free Family Movie series will conclude at Federal Hill Commons with a showing of the animated movie “Sing.” Bring your blankets, chairs and refreshments to enjoy the movie on the big screen at First Merchants Pavilion. “Sing” starts at dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.) and light concessions will be available.

Separate Ways Concert – The final free Tribute Series Concert is Separate Ways: the Journey Experience. Starting at 7 p.m., the Fishers School of Rock House Band will open the show with Separate Ways beginning their tribute to the Journey songs from the ’80s at 8 p.m. Food and beverages will be available for sale during the concert. Tribute Concerts are presented by Myers Construction Management, Inc. and series sponsor USI Consultants.
