Last Saturday, Ascension St. Vincent Fishers held a fan meet-and-greet for Pacers center Myles Turner, drawing hundreds of people to a carnival-style party.
The “Revved Up Rally” was open to the public and featured meet-and-greets with the Pacemates and Boomer. Visitors at Ascension St. Vincent Fishers could also spin prize wheels, get their face painted, sit for a caricature artist, pick up a cool balloon animal, play games, and much more.
Ascension St. Vincent staff walked visitors through the new Surgical Robot, enabling surgeons to perform more precise and less invasive general and gynecologic surgeries. It’s one of three surgical robots used regularly at the Fishers hospital. Guests also got the chance to demo the robot, trying to use the controllers to shoot a mini basketball into a hoop on a printed version of the Ascension St. Vincent Practice Court at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Turner and Boomer also surprised Heidi Smith, RN with a custom Pacers jersey. It bears the number 25 due to her 25-year career at Ascension St. Vincent as a Labor & Delivery nurse.
