Community meetings scheduled for today at MIBOR and Sun King Brewery for the White River Vision Plan, a community-driven effort led by the City of Indianapolis, Visit Indy, and Hamilton County Tourism, Inc., have been postponed until Feb. 13 due to forecasted dangerously cold weather.
The two community meetings rescheduled for Feb. 13 will be held at noon and 6 p.m. with locations announced in the future. The meeting on Thursday, Jan. 31 at Riverside High School will go on as scheduled.
Community participation is the most important part of the White River Vision Plan, but community safety is equally important. Residents who visit My White River on Facebook this week can view design concepts and ideas presented by the Agency Landscape + Planning team and provide feedback directly using the Facebook comments feature. The meeting on Jan. 31 will be live streamed and stored on the My White River Facebook page.
The updated schedule is as follows:
Wednesday, Jan. 30
Noon and 6:00 p.m. meetings postponed until Feb. 13
Locations TBD
Thursday, Jan. 31, 6 to 8 p.m.
Riverside High School
3010 N. White River Pkwy. E. Drive, Indianapolis
The team will provide ongoing calendar updates about community input events on the WRVP website. Residents are invited to check out the interactive map on the WRVP website and share thoughts and ideas about opportunities for the river. The WRVP team encourages the community to follow along on social media for more ways to provide feedback on the third phase of the plan, the draft and final plan documents.
