Evelyn Virginia Baber, 85, Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 7, 1937, to Walter and Lula (Golden) Teter in Sheridan.
Evelyn was a homemaker and babysitter. She also served as a home room mother when her boys were in school and supported their sports, often volunteering in the concession stand. Evelyn enjoyed bowling for years. She also liked camping, playing cards, reading, sewing, and doing crossword puzzles. Everyone loved the holiday cookies Evelyn made. Most of all, she loved her family.
Evelyn is survived by her sons, Clint Baber (Jamie) and Jeff Baber (Kris); five grandchildren, Amber Baber, Merideth Baber, Kylea Poppe-Maiers (Ricky), Kendra Quarton (Trent), and Jakson Baber; three great-granddaughters, Josie Maiers, Thea Quarton, and Kara Quarton;three great-grandsons, Tyler Keel, Leyton Keel, and Colton Baber; sisters, Bonnie Fesmire (Bob) and Carolyn Fitzgerald; and her sister-in-law, Maxine Teter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Carl Baber Jr.; and her brother, Floyd Teter.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., with services at 2 p.m., on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Rev. Stanley R. Sutton will officiate. Burial will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Indianapolis.
