Ernest W. “Ernie” Russell Jr., 57, Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at his home. He was born on November 26, 1960 to Ernest and Hazel (Brown) Russell in Noblesville.
For over 20 years, Ernie worked as a custodian at Carmel Elementary School. He liked to rabbit hunt and also enjoyed playing horseshoes where he won various awards. Most of all, Ernie loved being with his grandkids, and loved his dog, Cubbie.
He is survived by his daughter, Christy Russell (James Vijsma); two grandsons, Cory Russell and Justin Vijsma; brothers, Ricky Russell, Tommy Russell and Mark Russell; sisters, Lisa Bradfield, Kay Sells, Betty Wood and Becky McFall.
In addition to his parents, Ernie was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta Russell, on July 28, 2014.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with visitation from 11:30 a.m. to the time of service. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
