Enjoy best of art, shopping & music this Saturday at Meet Me on Main in Carmel

Come to the Carmel Arts & Design District from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, July 8 for Allied Solutions’ Meet Me on Main. Make your way to Main Street and Range Line Road for an evening of art, shopping, music, and more.

Meet Me on Main is the City of Carmel’s monthly “Second Saturday” event to highlight local galleries, restaurants and design-related businesses in the District. Art galleries and businesses will feature special events specially planned to enhance the art and design-related features of the District.

Community art activity

Nancy Keating of Mosaic Gardens and Carmel Art on Main Gallery and Gifts will host a chip in Community Mosaic at Anthony’s Plaza (201 W. Main St.). You can start “chipping in” at 4 p.m.

Plein Air Summer Painting Series

Maren Bell with The Art Lab will host a Plein Air Summer Painting Series from 5 to 8 p.m. on Saturday. Participants can try out different media and register for one or all this summer’s painting series. All supplies are included, but registration is required. Return completed BINGO cards to the Meet Me on Main tent on Anthony’s Plaza. BINGO card includes rules for play.

Special Gallery Exhibits

  • Art on Main, 111 W. Main St. “The Romance of Paris and New Orleans” exhibit by Randall Scott Harden.
  • CCA Gallery, 111 W. Main St., Suite 135. Jim Dupler will be tuning pens on a small pen lathe along with featured artists Melinda Spear Huff and Deb Achgill.
  • Indiana Artisan Gifts & Gallery, 22 N. Range Line Road. Becky the Bakester will host a gourmet marshmallow roast at the gallery.
  • The Children’s Art Gallery, 40 W. Main St. The Carmel Arts Council is pleased to welcome local artist and former Art Department Chair at Marian University, Megan Wright to Art in the Garden.
  • The Art Studio of Carmel, 30 N. Range Line Road. Create scratchboard creations with Cy Donnelly.
  • Soori Gallery, 33 E. Main St. Explore a variety of artists at the gallery.
