Enchanted Forest Swim Meet begins today at Forest Park

A summer tradition returns to Noblesville’s Forest Park today.
The Enchanted Forest Swim Meet begins this morning. The annual meet, hosted by the Noblesville Swim Club, has been taking place at the Forest Park Aquatic Center for many years, but was interrupted last summer by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to Noblesville Swim Club, several other Hamilton County swim clubs are scheduled to compete at the Enchanted Forest meet. Southeastern Swim Club, the Fishers Area Swimming Tigers, Westfield Aquatics, and Power Aquatics (Hamilton Heights and Tipton areas) all have swimmers in the lineup. Clubs from across Indiana are also set to swim, including teams from Avon, Fort Wayne, Franklin and Howard County. The Heartland Hurricanes from Effingham, Ill., will also be in the Forest Park pool.
Swimming will take place in three separate sessions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The meet begins at 9 a.m. this morning with preliminaries in the 200 butterfly, 100 breaststroke, 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle in the 13-14 and Open divisions.
Friday’s afternoon session will feature prelims in the 11-12 100 butterfly, 50 breaststroke, 200 IM and 50 free, along with timed finals in the 10 and under 100 butterfly, 50 breaststroke and 50 free. The afternoon session begins at 2 p.m. The evening session starts at 7 p.m. and will have finals in the aforementioned events.
EARLY WEEKEND
The weekend morning sessions will start bright and early at 7:30 a.m. Saturday’s early-bird swimmers in the 13-14 and Open divisions will compete in the 50 free, 200 breaststroke and 100 backstroke prelims, along with timed finals in the 400 free.
The Saturday afternoon session begins at 2 p.m. with 11-12 and 10 and under swimmers competing in the 100 breaststroke, 50 backstroke and 100 free. These events will be prelims for the 11-12 division and timed finals for the 10U swimmers. The Saturday night finals in all events (except the 400 free), start at 7 p.m.
The Sunday schedule follows the same timetable as Saturday. The morning session starts at 7:30 a.m. with 13-14 and Open swimmers competing in the 200 backstroke, 100 butterfly and 200 free prelims, finishing with timed finals in the 400 IM.
In the afternoon session, the 11-12 and 10 and under swimmers will compete in the 100 backstroke, 50 butterfly and 200 free. Once again, the 11-12 age group will be swimming in prelims, with the 10U swimmers competing in timed finals. The Sunday finals are set for 7 p.m.
Information on the meet can be found here. The admission fee is $6 for a day pass or $15 for a weekend pass, with no fee for the finals. There is a limit of two spectators per swimmer during the morning and afternoon sessions.
