Emma Mendez to work as intern for Purdue Extension Service

Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service, Hamilton County has welcomed a new summer intern. Emma Mendez will work in the Extension office this summer from May 14 to July 31.

Mendez will work in the fields of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Health and Human Sciences, 4-H Youth Development and Community Development in order to gain a broad understanding of Extension’s role in communities throughout Indiana. She will assist with program planning, implementation and evaluation.

As part of Emma’s internship responsibilities, and in order to gain insight into how projects and programs are developed, she will work with County Extension Director and Educators in the office to develop an educational project that may be used in future Extension efforts and is beneficial to Extension office and county.
