Two Hamilton County wrestlers finished in the top four at the IHSAA state finals Saturday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Carmel senior Jack Eiteljorge placed third at 160 pounds. Eiteljorge beat Bishop Luers senior Chandler Woenker 4-0 to advance to the semi-finals, where he lost to Center Grove senior Gleason Mappes 3-0. Eiteljorge went out a winner in the third-place match, where he pinned Union County junior Tucker Coffman in the first period. Eiteljorge finished his season 40-3.
Westfield sophomore Carson Eldred finished fourth at 113 pounds. Eldred reached the semi-finals with a 9-1 major decision win over Castle junior Devon Casebolt, but then lost to New Castle junior Andrew Black in a 13-1 major decision. In the third-place match, Eldred fell to Evansville Mater Dei freshman Blake Boarman 7-5, finishing his season 44-5.
