According to Jackson Township Fire Department Battalion Chief James Carter, fire crews from Jackson Township, Cicero, Noblesville, Westfield, Sheridan, Cicero Township, Tipton and White River Township responded to an electrical fire at the Beck’s Hybrids plant on East 276th Street Sunday afternoon.
An employee smelled smoke and called 9-1-1 just after 3 p.m. Sunday. Firefighters found smoke in the warehouse and “Country Store” area of the complex and found smoke coming from the attic. After pulling out insulation, they traced the fire to an electrical panel.
Nobody was hurt and damage was contained to the warehouse and retail area.
