Earn sweet treats on Westfield Donut Trail

A Westfield weekend tradition returns today, June 2, with the annual Donut Trail and runs through Friday, June 9.

The Donut Trail was started in 2017 and continues to grow each year. In conjunction with National Donut Day and National Trails Day, Donut Trail was founded to encourage residents to get to know the Westfield Parks Trail system with a sweet reward at the end.

New in 2023 is the release of the digital passport. Westfield Welcome has partnered with Bandwango to provide a fun, interactive experience on your way to completing the Donut Trail.

Here’s how it works:

Participants will use their cell phones to download the digital passport on the Westfield Welcome website at westfieldwelcome.com/donut-trail.

They will then complete a few quick registration questions, then the passport will be instantly delivered via text message and email.

Starting on Friday, June 2, contestants will use passports to locate all 12 donut-shaped signs along Westfield’s trail system. Once a donut-shaped sign has been found, players will digitally “check in” on the passport. Checking in at all 12 donut-shaped signs unlocks offers for free donuts from each local donut shop.

To redeem free offers, contestants will “claim” their prize in the digital passport and receive an email showing successful completion, which will be displayed at each donut shop.

Offers are available Friday, June 2 to Friday, June 9, except for DonutNV Hamilton County, which will ONLY be available from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 8 at the Westfield Farmer’s Market at Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St.

Offers include:

  • Titus Bakery: six donut holes
  • Quack Daddy Donuts: six donut holes
  • Jack’s Donuts: one free donut
  • DonutNV Hamilton County: four mini donuts (valid on Thursday, June 8 only)

“We are excited about the return of the Donut Trail to Westfield,” Westfield Welcome Director Kayla Arnold. “Combining National Donut Day and National Trails Day is always a winning combination. We love hearing stories and receiving pictures from participants about how it’s their first or hundredth time on the trails.”
