Workers who have experienced a company layoff may be eligible for free training and additional lifetime employment benefits even if they are currently working. Federal funds are available for qualifying workers through the Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) program. Benefits include training and job search assistance.
From 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at Forest Park Lodge in Noblesville, TAA case managers with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development will be available to meet with workers impacted and determine eligibility. If eligible, begin training to earn a post-secondary credential, associate degree or higher, at no cost to the worker.
Worker confidentiality will be respected at this event.
More information on the TAA program, including a list of employers that have been given TAA certification, can be found by visiting in.gov/dwd/taa.
