Duke Energy has selected Jason Myers as the new general manager for its Noblesville Generating Station in Hamilton County and its Henry County generating site.
Myers fills the role vacated by Chris Roeder, who recently moved to serve as the general manager of the company’s Gibson Generating Station in Owensville, Ind.
Noblesville Generating Station is a 264-megawatt natural gas facility and Henry County is a three-unit facility with a capacity of roughly 80 megawatts.
“Noblesville Generating Station has been producing reliable power for Indiana communities for several decades,” said Mark LaBarr, government and community relations manager at Duke Energy. “We look forward to Jason’s leadership of the plant as it continues to deliver power to the region.”
Myers has been with Duke Energy since 2001. Most recently, he served on the management team at Duke Energy’s Gibson Generating Station. During that time, he helped the team achieve significant accomplishments in both safety and reliability. Before that, he served in multiple leadership roles including operations superintendent at Duke Energy’s Cayuga Generating Station.
Myers earned his bachelor’s degree in technology management from Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.
He and his wife, Jennifer, have two children.
