Duke Energy awards grant to Janus for community employment transition project

Mark LaBarr, Duke Energy Indiana Government and Community Relations Manager, presented Christina Sorensen, Janus President/CEO and Debbie Laird, Senior Vice President of Development with a $9,000 grant award in support of the Janus Community Employment Transition project. The project is designed to assist individuals with disabilities as they participate in activities related to exploring the transition to integrated employment within the community. Led by a Janus Employment Specialist, the project will facilitate activities which promote community job interest, skill development and career discovery.

The Duke Energy Foundation provides philanthropic support to address the needs of the communities where its customers live and work.
