Dorothy Verona Dalgleish

February 5, 1927 – November 18, 2017

Dorothy Verona Dalgleish, 90, was promoted to glory on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville. She was born on February 5, 1927 to Simon and Martha (Bayer) Feller in Evansville, Ind.

Dorothy worked at Westvaco for 44 years, retiring at age 65. She attended Grace Evangelical Church in Indianapolis and enjoyed cooking, helping people and spending time with her family. Dorothy lived in Indianapolis until March 2017 when she had a stroke, fell and broke her hip. She then spent five months in rehabilitation centers and lived with her son, Larry, and his wife, Yvonne. Dorothy moved into a rehabilitation center when her failing health made it necessary. She was very much loved by her family and friends. Dorothy recently attended Hope Bible Fellowship in Noblesville.

She is survived by her sons, Larry (Yvonne) O’Brien of Noblesville and Donald (Rodilla) O’Brien of Benicia, Calif.; six grandchildren, Derek O’Brien of Indianapolis, Sean (Elizabeth) O’Brien of Tipton, Kyle O’Brien of Sheridan, Christopher O’Brien of University Park, Pa., Cristina Rodriguez of Benicia, Calif., and Shane O’Brien of Cleveland, Ohio; five great-grandchildren, Owen O’Brien of Tipton, Isaac O’Brien of Tipton, Evan O’Brien of Tipton, Izabell O’Brien of Noblesville and Sevynith Carter of Fishers; and niece, Sherry Ostheimer of Indianapolis

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Joseph O’Brien, Jim Richardson and Dave Dalgleish; sisters, Mildred Wheatley, Lillian Peck and JoAnn Ralph; and brother, Norman Feller.

Services will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 4 p.m. to the time of service. Dr. Larry O’Brien will officiate.
