Great Squirrel Stampede
In advance of the celebrations for the 2023 Hamilton County Bicentennial, today, Hamilton County will celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Squirrel Stampede.
In 1822, squirrels invaded the area during their migration south, trampling crops and causing mass destruction. The Acorn Trail will runs through Friday, Sept. 2. There also will be an activation for the Great Squirrel Stampede this evening at the Westfield Farmers Market and Market Concert Series.
