Don’t Leave It to Beaver Campaign
The citizens group “Don’t Leave It to Beaver” is undeterred in its fight to oppose the gravel pit proposed by Beaver Materials at Potter’s Bridge Park in Noblesville. Don’t Leave It to Beaver will continue planned events despite the Noblesville Planning Commission’s decision to delay public comment until Nov. 16.
Prayer Vigil
A prayer vigil is set for at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18 in Potter’s Bridge Park. The vigil will be led by White River Christian Church Pastor Tim Brock at the beginning of the hour. Afterward, attendees are encouraged to enjoy the park’s beautiful trails in contemplation and prayer. Attendees are encouraged to wear a face mask, remain socially distant, and allow others to use the park unencumbered.
Peaceful Protests
Citizens will gather at 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 19 on the sidewalk outside the Hamilton County Courthouse to raise awareness of the issue. Protesters are encouraged to wear a face mask, remain socially distant, and be respectful to all, including passing motorists and pedestrians.
Citizens will again gather for an identical protest before the Planning Commission’s meeting Nov. 16. Details are forthcoming.
