Here’s some food for thought:
There are 32,160 food-insecure people in Hamilton County. At three meals a day, 365 days a year, that’s 35,215,200 meals – a lot to comprehend.
The good news? Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank (HCHFB) isn’t doing this on its own. Many friends and neighbors just need a little help; SNAP and other food assistance helps with a large amount. There is a tremendous food support network in Hamilton County.
This year, HCHFB provided 197,000 meals. This may seem like a very small portion of the total need, but consider how even just one healthy meal can make a difference.
That’s HCHFB’s goal: keep providing healthy meals, every day of the year, year in and year out. Over 1.5 million healthy meals have helped local friends and neighbors since HCHFB began.
… and maybe that one healthy meal that was provided today made all the difference.
