Sheridan Community Schools recently held its annual dodgeball tournament, an exciting event that brought together all three schools for some fun and friendly competition. The tournament was split into two evenings: Wednesday for the elementary school students and Thursday for the middle and high school students.
After school on Wednesday, the younger students held their tournament. Sponsored by the Sheridan Elementary School Peer Program, the elementary school dodgeball teams brought their energy and teamwork, making the gymnasium come alive with excitement. Students cheered for their friends as they dodged, ducked, and aimed to secure victory. The event was a great way for elementary students to bond, demonstrate sportsmanship, and enjoy a spirited game with their classmates.

One boy and one girl were also given the Logan Gellert Award which is awarded to the students with the best attitude. This year’s awardees were Stella Ferguson and Paxton Smith, both in fifth grade. Congratulations! Thank you to Scott Ellis and Jill Cali for helping with the event.
Thursday night shifted the focus to the older students, with middle and high school teams stepping up their game. The competition was fierce as teams displayed impressive athleticism. The intensity was evident as each team fought for the win. The night was filled with high-energy action, and the crowd cheered on their peers with enthusiasm.
