Diane Lott, 62, McCordsville, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a short, courageous battle of rare and incurable stomach cancer. She was born on March 29, 1961, to Robert and Betty (Komers) Duke in Indianapolis.
Diane was a wedding planner and owned Diane’s Creations. She previously worked for the Delaware Township Trustee’s Office, as a transcriptionist for the Fishers Police Department, as an assistant to the Fall Creek Township Trustee Assessor, and as Executive Assistant at Heartland Church for years. Diane was a 15-year member of Heartland Church. She enjoyed photography, flowers, gardening, and birds, especially hummingbirds. Diane was the Team Mom and official team picture taker for her children’s activities. She was always helping and giving, and she helped organize the Special Santa for 15 years for families of Hamilton Southeastern Schools. Most of all, Diane loved, supported, and spoiled her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years and high school sweetheart, Brian Lott; parents, Robert & Betty Duke; daughters, Shauna (Alan) Harman, Christina (Tyler) Cooper, and Brittany (Brian) Taber; grandchildren, Leon and Oliver Harman, Hayden Lott, Makenna Spiegel, Damian Taber, Steven Taber, Raymond Taber, and Akira Taber; sisters, Debbie Shockley, Denise (Chuck) Jones, and Dana Green; and her brother, Robert “Rob” (Kathy) Duke.
Diane was preceded in death by her grandparents, William & Geneva Duke and Bradley & Francis Komers.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Heartland Church, 14900 E. 126th St., Fishers, with Pastor Dr. Darryn Scheske officiating. Innichement will be in Heartland Church Resurrection Memorial.
