Residents in the area of 96th Street and Spring Mill Road have been contacted by developers seeking to purchase real estate in hopes of building a large inpatient hospital.
Developers have not yet identified the medical group that is eyeing the portion of real estate near Interstate 465 and Meridian Street.
According to Carmel officials the property would require rezoning. The Carmel Planning Commission would need to make a recommendation before passing the project on to the city council.
