Deonna Baxter, 70, Fishers, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis. She was born on March 21, 1951 to Donald and Dorothy May (Phillips) Figert in Logansport.
Deonna attended the nursing program at Goshen College. She was an active member at First Baptist Church of Goshen. Deonna enjoyed baking, collecting things, and learning about the medical field. She loved being a mother, a wife, and visiting with friends. Deonna was an amazing prayer warrior.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, John Baxter; daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Nigh and Christine Baxter; grandchildren, Kaylie, Lilyana, and Brecken Nigh; siblings, Danna (Steve) Ridenour, Donita (Ken) Koike, and Dario Figert; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Sabrina Figert; and nephew, Dan Ridenour.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Hamilton Hills Church, 10293 E. 126th St., Fishers, with Pastor Randall Waller officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the time of service at the church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Fishers.
