Dennis Kay “Butch” Haskett

January 19, 1947 – May 31, 2019

Dennis Kay “Butch” Haskett, 72,Noblesville, passed away on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville after a brave battle with cancer. He was born on January 19, 1947 to the late Raymond and Margaret (McAvoy) Haskett in Noblesville.

After completing a metalworking apprenticeship, Dennis joined the Peace Corps and served as a teacher in Tehran, Iran, from 1969 to 1972 at a time when that country still enjoyed peace and prosperity. He then moved to Munich, Germany, and worked for Siemens where he met his wife and had a daughter who was born there. The family returned to Hamilton County where he started Vibcon Corporation in Arcadia and worked until he sold it and retired in 2009. Dennis was an avid collector of Civil War tokens, and enjoyed giving talks on the subject to various groups. He loved to travel and visited more than 40 countries.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Christa (Thomas) Emodi; two grandchildren, Jack Emodi and Alice Emodi; and his sister, Kathie (John David) Tilton.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville, with visitation from 5 p.m. to the time of service.
