The five announced Democratic candidates for the 5th District U.S. Congressional seat this year will appear in a candidate forum on Thursday, March 26 in Fishers.
Jennifer Christie, Christina Hale, Andy Jacobs, Jr., Ralph Spelbring and Dee Thornton will be present to speak and answer questions from the public.
One of the five will be nominated in the May 5 primary election to challenge the Republican nominee. The seat is considered “open” following incumbent Susan Brooks decision to retire. Sixteen GOP candidates are running in the primary.
The Fishers forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the public library, and is sponsored at no cost by the Hamilton County Democratic Party. County Young Democrats will moderate the program.
