Dear Editor:

It seems that Bill Shaffer spends most of his time second guessing the Mayor and others on the City Council. If he believes so much is wrong here in Carmel, maybe he should move elsewhere.

I have lived in Carmel almost 45 years, and during that time I have seen remarkable progress. Property values have increased more than almost anywhere else in Indiana. Traffic has increased many fold, but roundabouts and other improvements have made it manageable. All the improvements, and a first-class school system, have made Carmel one of the most desirable places to live in the USA.

Bill, the Carmel administration must be doing something right. Maybe you should look for some of the positives instead of being so negative.

Jerry Delp
