Local elected officials, public safety personnel and community leaders gathered for breakfast on Thursday, July 27 at the Delaware Township Community Center in Fishers to support Cherish, a Hamilton County Child Advocacy Center. The breakfast helped raise funds for trauma therapy, prevention initiatives and child forensic interviews.
Cherish is a 501(c)(3) child advocacy center (CAC) founded in 2009 that provides abuse intervention and prevention services to the community. Cherish is Hamilton County’s only CAC.
Cherish is nationally accredited and provides a neutral, supportive, safe place where children and teens can talk. All employees are trained child forensic interviewers.
Cherish also provides referrals and community education. The organization brings together a strong network of quality child services defined as a Multi-Disciplinary Team dedicated to decreasing violent harm to children and increasing thriving children and families in local communities.
