Local non-profit Nickel Plate Express (NPX) and Noblesville photographer Daniel Grose have partnered to release a first-edition holiday ornament in honor of the annual Reindeer Ride Express.
The ceramic holiday ornament features a photograph of the iconic F7 4214 Nickel Plate Engine taken by Daniel Grose on the front and the Nickel Plate Express logo and date on the back.
“I have a passion for bringing the unique to the ordinary and photographing the Nickel Plate Express does just that,” Grose said. “I am humbled to have the chance to partner with them to bring joy and something special to those that purchase the ornament.”
A portion of the profits from the sale will go back to Grose, while the remaining amount will go to supporting the programming offered by Nickel Plate Express.
“Partnerships and supporting other local businesses are a vital piece of what Nickel Plate Express does,” NPX Director Emily Reynolds said. “I was honored to work with Daniel Grose to create a piece that families will be able to take home and remember their experience on our train. We look forward to working with other local artist each year to create a unique ornament to represent the magic of our Reindeer Rides.”
Ornaments will be for sale at the NPX gift shop starting Nov. 19. This collector’s item ornament will sell for $25.
