A new drive-thru Christmas display is coming to the parking lot of Castleton Square Mall, 6020 E. 82nd St., Indianapolis, for the holiday season. From Nov. 25 to Dec. 31, families can experience Dasher’s Lightshow in a more interactive and modern way than through traditional neighborhood displays. Families can tune their car’s radio to a dedicated station and watch the roughly one million lights and displays dance and blink in sync with Christmas music favorites.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 25, the Dasher’s Lightshow will be open daily from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Castleton Square Mall parking lot east of AMC Theatres, on the southeast corner of the mall. The display will be open through Saturday, Dec. 31 and feature six lighted tunnels, singing digital characters and trees as tall as 40 feet. At the recommended speed, the mile-long Dasher’s Lightshow drive-thru will entertain a carload for approximately 20 minutes.
“Dasher’s Lightshow identified Indy as a location we wanted to go to very early on,” said Jon Prebish, a managing partner of Dasher’s Lightshow. “Partnering with Castleton Square made sense from the beginning. Dasher’s Lightshow prides ourselves on bringing reliable and impressive family friendly entertainment that is affordable for everyone.”
The holiday drive-thru experience starts at $29.95 per vehicle with capacity based on the number of seatbelts available and state law. For an additional $20, guests can purchase a VIP Pass and skip the line the night they attend. If there’s no line that night, the VIP Pass will get guests a second trip through the show on the same night (manager’s discretion). Season passes, which include two stuffed Dasher reindeers, are also available for families who want to visit the display throughout the season. No trailers, buses, limousines or vehicles with a height over 12 feet are permitted.
To prevent long wait times, tickets can only be purchased online in 30-minute time slots. Email merry@dasherslightshow.com for further details.
