Darrell “Bill” R. Phillips, 49, of Cicero, passed away on April 26, 2017. He was born on October 6, 1967 to the late Darrell and Dorothy (Rood) Phillips in Noblesville, Indiana.
Bill worked at Westfield Steel as a truck driver. Bill was a former member of the Sheridan American Legion Riders. He enjoyed many rides on his motorcycle and the lasting friendships he developed. He was also involved with the Indiana State Trapper Association and Indiana IADC. Bill enjoyed hunting, especially deer hunting and trapping, fishing, and other outdoor activities. He enjoyed his time outdoors and being in nature.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Pearson) Phillips. He and Janet were married in 1990 and had 26 great years together. Bill is survived by his two devoted sons; Michael Robert Phillips of Kokomo, IN and Brandon Lee Phillips of Cicero, IN., brother to Lonnie Phillips of Sheridan, IN and his sister Miranda Delph of Inglis, FL. Bill is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Preceding Bill in death are his parents and grandparents.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Church of God, 707 W 2nd Street, Sheridan, IN. Family and friends are invited to gather at 11 a.m. till time of service.
