Dan Greenhalgh announces candidacy for Delaware Township Trustee

Dan Greenhalgh, a Fishers resident and member of the Democratic Party, has formally announced his candidacy for Delaware Township Trustee. Delaware Township is one of nine townships in Hamilton County and covers roughly the western half of Fishers.

Greenhalgh took action to enter the race upon learning the seat for township trustee was left uncontested after the Primary Election.

“As a licensed Indiana attorney and an experienced engineer, I have spent my career solving complex problems and continuously improving products and processes,” said Greenhalgh. “If elected, I’ll use these unique skills and experiences to streamline township government and refocus the township’s nearly $1.5 million budget on the township’s core purpose – providing assistance to those in need.”

Greenhalgh’s platform is shown as the acronym RENEW, which stands for Reduce salary of trustee, Expand access to assistance for those in need, Negotiate better contracts for the township, Enhance transparency, and Widen public engagement.

According to Greenhalgh, his platform immediately addresses deficiencies in the current township government relating to fiscal responsibility, accountability, and core purpose.

“I am passionate about these issues, especially the efficient use of taxpayer money,” said Greenhalgh. “And it’s these unaddressed issues that have motivated me to get involved for the benefit of my community.”
