Dale L. Godby, 86, Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born on September 29, 1932 to Lester and Lois (Dodds) Godby in Sheridan.
Dale proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the USS Iowa from 1952 to 1955. For 40 years, he worked as a welder for General Motors in Indianapolis. Dale was a devout follower of Christ and attended White River Christian Church. He often spoke of God’s love and wanted everyone to know the glory of the Lord.
Dale is survived by his children, Lucinda (Dean) Scherer, Steven (Marcie) Abraham, Brenda (Shane) Garringer, Bryan (Glenna) Godby, and Janell (Robert) Mountcastle; sister, Wanda Mae Pickett; brother, Ronald Lee Godby; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha A. Godby; son, Larry Godby; daughter, Jorretta Abraham; brother, Kenneth Godby; and a granddaughter, Kimberly Garringer.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with visitation from 11 a.m. to the time of service. Chaplain Derek Hansen will officiate. Burial will be at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery in Westfield.
