Cynthia Haydock Roeder

October 7, 1956 – December 21, 2024

Cynthia Haydock Roeder, 68, Westfield, passed away on December 21, 2024. She was born in Lakewood, Ohio, to John and Mary Lou Haydock on October 7, 1956.

Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Carmel High School. She went on to earn a B.S. in Restaurant, Hotel, and Institutional Management from Purdue University, where she met her husband, John Roeder. They married in 1979.

Cindy’s greatest passion was for children and dogs. She enjoyed working in preschools and daycares throughout the years, even running her own summer camp for the neighborhood when her daughters were young. She transformed many new houses into homes as the family moved several times, including overseas to Malaysia. Perhaps her most cherished role was that of “Nana.” She delighted in spoiling her grandchildren with her thoughtful creativity, love of a good theme, elaborate birthday cakes, and gift of listening.

In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Haydock (Jennifer Haydock).

Survivors include her husband, John Roeder; three children, Lindsey Roeder (Craig Finnegan), Sarah Collins, and Katie Heath (Craig Heath); seven grandchildren, Audrey, Jack, Joey, Killian, Rory, Trent, and Samantha; brothers, Tom Haydock (Wendy Haydock) and John Haydock (Cindy Haydock).

Services will be held at a later date.
